Feb. 21 official clarification confirms that a dispensation to use or erect a parish church for the celebration of the traditional Latin Mass in a diocese and permission for a priest ordained after July 2021 to celebrate the traditional Latin Mass can only be granted by the the Holy See.
The comments came after a rumor circulated on social media that the Latin Mass was being suppressed within a parish in the diocese.
