A pro-life health organization, the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, filed a lawsuit against the FDA in Texas, which claims the FDA failed to abide by its legal obligations when approving the drug.
Yesterday’s policy change comes after a December 2021 change that permanently lifted the requirement for patients to obtain mifepristone during in-person appointments with a physician.
Signers of the letter include Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List; Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life; Catherine Glenn Foster, president and CEO of Americans United for Life; Ryan Bomberger, co-founder of the Radiance Foundation; and Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission.
Legislators, pro-life groups and ethicists have condemned a new government contract to obtain tissue from aborted children.
The move from the Obama administration comes at a time when the abortion industry is facing pressure from state laws, and sees the market moving toward ‘medication abortions.’
