In the wake of new restrictions on the traditional Latin Mass, two American bishops spoke with EWTN’s Raymond Arroyo Thursday about how their dioceses have responded.
Archbishops Aquila and Naumann, and Bishops Cozzens and McManus, share their thoughts on the Eucharistic Revival as well as the controversy of Catholic elected officials who advocate for legal abortion.
On Aug. 2, the primary ballot question considers whether the state’s constituents can make decisions about limiting abortion.
‘Our faith helps us understand the dignity of every human life created in the divine image as taught in the Hebrew scriptures, but reason alone is sufficient to know that it is wrong to destroy an innocent human life,’ the Kansas City shepherd explained in a recent op-ed.
Following the apostolic nuncio’s Nov. 16 remarks, several U.S. bishops spoke with the Register about their vision and implementation of the Synod on Synodality.
‘Abortion is not family planning,’ stated Archbishop Joseph Naumann, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities.
Archbishop Naumann released the statement ahead of Respect Life Month, which is celebrated during October each year.
Archbishop Naumann affirmed the conscience rights of Catholics who refuse a COVID vaccine because of its connection to abortion.
Archbishop Naumann reiterated the archbishop of San Francisco's sentiments adding, ‘Catholics in public life who advocate for abortion create scandal by encouraging others to do evil.’
