The Republican senator is delaying approval of some military promotions, to focus attention on a policy that could exponentially increase the number of abortions subsidized by the Department of Defense.
Despite living in a state that supports abortion rights, participants at the event expressed hope that they will be able to build on the success that the pro-life movement achieved nationally last year, with the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
But local pro-lifers are pushing back strongly, and predict that the abortion lobby’s extremism will galvanize public opposition to their legislative overreach.
